What You Should Know About SPF

Did you know? The number on your SPF does not represent the percentage that it covers or protects; actually, it represents the amount of minutes (add a zero) that that particular sunscreen lasts on your skin. For example, a sunscreen with SPF 25 can last up to 250 minutes on your skin, another one with SPF 85 can last 850 minutes before you apply again and so on. Remember: sweat, make up and your overall daily activities decrease this lasting time, so always reapply your sunscreen before reaching its maximum time.
